Bellarine Railway Lakers Siding
Vortex Electrical installed a solar and battery system at the Bellarine Railway’s Lakers Siding shed, working with Queenscliffe Climate Action Now (QCAN) and Geelong Sustainability.
The installed system combines 25.65 kW of solar with 48 kWh of battery storage and a 30 kW Sigenergy controller. QCAN reported that the system was operating in its April 2026 newsletter. The project followed an energy audit organised by QCAN through Geelong Sustainability’s Community Power Hub, which helped identify options for the site.
